About the PEAK GT Center:

PEAK is a new, alternative program for Jeffco gifted high school students with unique needs. PEAK offers an individualized program of study designed to enhance critical and creative thinking skills as well as encourage exploration in a student’s areas of interest. In addition, students will experience career mentoring and affective education addressing their unique social and emotional needs. This ground-breaking program is intended to provide differentiated educational opportunities which do not replicate the programming currently available at any other Jeffco high school.

To phase in this new program, incoming freshmen for the 2009-2010 school year will be the first students to begin the PEAK program that will be located at Wheat Ridge High School. Subsequent years will expand to include sophomores in 2010-2011, juniors in 2011-2012, and seniors in 2012-2013. Transportation will be the responsibility of the students and their families. December 2nd is the application deadline for the 2009-2010 school year.
